Magna stands as one of the UK’s most extraordinary STEM learning environments. Housed inside the former Templeborough Steelworks, once one of the world’s largest electric arc steel plants, Magna transforms a monumental piece of industrial heritage into a powerful engine for science education, community pride, and future skills. Magna is not a replica or a museum of industry; it is the industry. The building itself is a living artefact of engineering innovation, and its vast spaces, original structures, and immersive atmosphere create a STEM experience that cannot be replicated anywhere else.

The Trust’s newly appointed Chief Executive Officer asked Good Fundraising to help map out viable funding opportunities, with a particular focus on developing income from trusts and foundations. Our work has now created a clear trusts and foundations pipeline, and we’re supporting them with a variety of projects covering school transport, capital development, heritage interpretation, and conservation projects.
