Places of Worship Renewal Fund Opens This September
Are you planning to apply to the Places of Worship Renewal Fund? Get in touch with Good Fundraising today for expert support with your application.
The Places of Worship Renewal Fund (PWRF) is set to reopen for its second round in September, offering grants of between £10,000 and £1 million for urgent repairs and essential improvements to listed places of worship across England.
With £92 million being invested over four years, the fund aims to help preserve historic places of worship, keeping them safe, open and active for both worshippers and the wider community.
Eligible projects must involve an active place of worship in England that is listed at Grade I, Grade II* or Grade II. Priority will be given to projects in areas with the greatest need and those that deliver strong community benefit.
Applications will be assessed against Historic England’s priorities, including increasing public engagement with heritage, supporting community wellbeing, creating sustainable futures for historic buildings, and helping heritage respond to climate change.
As this is a competitive fund, a strong application is essential. Many organisations have excellent projects but struggle to demonstrate need, impact and alignment with fund priorities in a way that stands out to assessors.
At Good Fundraising, we specialise in writing compelling funding applications for charities, community organisations and places of worship. Whether you need support with an Expression of Interest or a full application, our team can help maximise your chances of success.
