Steps for Hospice Care
This April, Cath, Lily and Tracey are taking part in The Yorkshire Broker Walk, Run, Ride Challenge in support of The Prince of Wales Hospice for the second year running.
They’re committing to walk or run 75 & 100 miles across the month, with their entry fees going directly to the Hospice. Every step contributes towards the outstanding care, comfort and support the Hospice provides to individuals and families when they need it most.
More Than Just a Challenge
Working in fundraising is incredibly purposeful – but it can also be demanding.
Supporting important causes requires energy, creativity and emotional investment. That’s why wellbeing isn’t something we treat as separate from our work at Good Fundraising.
Taking part in this challenge reflects a wider belief we hold: that sustainable fundraising starts with sustainable fundraisers.
Making space to step away from our desks, get outside and reset isn’t a luxury – it’s essential. Whether it’s a lunchtime walk, an early evening stretch in the fresh air or committing to 75 miles over a month, these moments help us show up at our best for the charities and communities we support.
A Timely Reminder
With April bringing lighter evenings and the first real signs of spring, this feels like the right time to embrace a challenge like this. The season naturally invites renewal and momentum – a chance to refocus both personally and professionally.
Prioritising wellbeing allows us to bring sustained energy and clarity to our work. When we build a culture that values balance and care, we strengthen the impact we can make.
Building on a Strong Foundation
Last year saw fantastic efforts from Lily, Tracey and Cath, who achieved a collective 300 miles between them. The wider challenge brought together over 80 participants walking, running or riding 25, 50, 75 or 100 miles across April – raising more than £4,000 for the Hospice.
We’re proud to see Cath, Lily and Tracey taking part again this year and supporting such a meaningful cause. As the month gets underway, we’ll be cheering them on every step of the way.
