UpCycle

UpCycle (formerly The Margaret Carey Foundation) is a Shipley-based charity that prevents crime and supports rehabilitation through bike refurbishment workshops. Trainees develop practical skills, confidence and workplace experience, while refurbished bikes are donated to people most in need.

Working in communities and prisons, UpCycle helps young people avoid involvement in crime and supports people in custody to rebuild their lives. Through hands-on learning, mentorship and positive social impact, the charity transforms lives and strengthens communities.

Good Fundraising worked alongside UpCycle to develop a collaborative corporate fundraising strategy. This included reviewing existing activity, identifying new corporate partnerships, carrying out due diligence, and developing tailored marketing collateral. The strategy was designed to remain live and flexible, enabling UpCycle to respond to opportunities and ensure sustainable growth in corporate support alongside other income-generation initiatives.
