Set up in 1997 in Barrow in Furness, Theatre Factory’s work starts in the community, moves up through Youth Theatre and on into professional practice. A big part of their role is to nurture emerging local Artists and help them to develop careers in the Creative Industries and they have assisted a growing number of young people to enter the Performing Arts Industry. 

However, Theatre Factory is more than a Theatre Company, it also looks at how the Performing and Associated Arts can help people and communities build resilience and happiness and grow stronger. They work closely with other Barrow based organisations whose work shares similar aims to theirs to help the community to thrive. We are delighted to support Theatre Factory with a full fundraising review and make recommendations to diversify its fundraising income. This will enable them to continue the growth of their activities and ensure sustainability.
