The Prince of Wales Hospice

The Prince of Wales Hospice provides specialist care for people with life-limiting illness and their families across the Five Towns area of the Wakefield District. The hospice offers holistic support that addresses physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs and supports more than 2,000 people through a range of services, including 24-hour care, day services and specialist clinics. Support also extends to families and carers, recognising the vital role they play.

Good Fundraising has worked with The Prince of Wales Hospice to provide support in a variety of ways, including delivering tailored training for both the fundraising team and the wider staff group. This has covered areas such as project management, managing difficult conversations, and effective chairing of meetings.

In addition, our Corporate Lead delivered a three-month mentoring programme for three newly appointed members of the Community and Partnerships team, helping to build confidence, skills, and capacity within the team. It has been a privilege to work with such passionate and dedicated staff, providing practical advice and support that strengthens the hospice’s ability to deliver vital services for the people of Wakefield.
