Heritage Education Trust

Heritage Education Trust (HET) is the only organisation providing independent quality assurance for heritage education across the UK, the Republic of Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man through the annual Sandford Awards.

HET works to ensure high-quality heritage learning experiences that help the public particularly young people engage with history, culture and heritage. The Sandford Award recognises excellence across a wide range of settings, including historic houses, museums, galleries, industrial heritage sites, collections, archives and historic vessels.Good Fundraising is working with HET to support the development of a more sustainable financial model. The focus of this work is to explore and implement new income-generating opportunities, particularly through corporate partnerships, helping to reduce reliance on traditional grant funding while strengthening long-term financial resilience and impact across the heritage education sector.
