Forward Trust

The Forward Trust is a national leader in delivering drug and alcohol services within the prison environment. Its work includes advice and support around health and wellbeing, motivational interventions, clinical services, and a wide range of group programmes, including family support. Operating across almost all regions of England, the organisation supports more than 20,000 people each year through around 70 service delivery projects.

The Trust’s newly appointed Head of Fundraising approached Good Fundraising for support with trust pipeline development during a period of team expansion. Good Fundraising carried out in-depth research into existing trust prospects across five service areas, strengthening and adding value to the organisation’s in-house work while identifying new funding opportunities. Over several months, Good Fundraising prepared 42 trust applications, which were either submitted directly by The Forward Trust or managed on their behalf. This targeted support helped build momentum, increase capacity, and strengthen the Trust’s ability to secure funding for its vital services.
