Denby Grange

Denby Grange CAC is a local sports club based in Overton, Wakefield and has a long-standing history in Overton, West Yorkshire, dating back to 1902. Established as a charitable organisation in 1963 under the name Denby Grange Recreation Ground, the club serves as a community hub offering extensive recreational facilities. It supports over 15 teams across various sports, including senior and junior football, cricket, and bowls. The club provides well-maintained playing fields, social spaces, a kitchen, disabled access, and parking, making it a versatile venue for both sports and community gatherings.

Good Fundraising was approached to help secure the funding necessary to extend and refurbish the clubhouse and to make it more suitable for wider community use. We developed a plan based on applications to trusts and foundations and landfill tax funders and were delighted when all funds were successfully raised and the building opened in the summer of 2024.
