The Prince of Wales Hospice

The Prince of Wales Hospice provides specialist care for people with life-limiting illness and their families in the Five Towns area of Wakefield District. Good Fundraising has worked with the hospice on several occasions, providing training for both the fundraising team and the wider staff team. We have provided training relating to Project Management, Managing Difficult Conversation and Chairing Meetings. St George’s Community Centre

St. George’s is a community centre based in the heart of Lupset, a large estate of social housing in Wakefield, facing many challenges. The charity is a community anchor offering a welcoming space for all with meeting rooms, IT facilities, a coffee shop, and a community allotment. They also operate four childcare settings across Wakefield. For 27 years, the charity’s work has enhanced the life chances of so many living on the Lupset estate. The charity fosters the development of community spirit and improves personal and community health and wellbeing. Despite the high levels of deprivation, child poverty, low skills, and rising crime (including knife crime amongst children), all compounded by the cost-of-living crisis, the charity work in a relational way, seeing the potential in people and the community that surrounds them. Good Fundraising have secured income for St. Georges’ Youth Service programme, have completed a Reaching Communities application for core funding, a Lottery Awards for All application for their kitchen refurbishment and will be working with the team on other trust applications. National Coal Mining Museum England

Good Fundraising provides full fundraising services to the National Coal Mining Museum, acting as an external fundraising team. This means that, for the cost of employing a single fundraiser in-house, they have access to the wealth of skills and knowledge within the full Good Fundraising Team. We support the fabulous museum team with all of their fundraising activities including bid-writing, corporate fundraising and individual giving. We are developing their fundraising strategy, provide training for visitor facing teams and also provide advice and support on ethical decisions, policies and procedures. Read More

Leeds Museums and Galleries

Leeds Museums and Galleries manage nine heritage sites across Leeds including country houses, an industrial museum, art gallery and city museum. Good Fundraising undertook a major fundraising review for Leeds Museums and Galleries, considering the potential for fundraising across all its specific sites as well as within the context of a museum service as a whole. The review directly influenced the decision to establish a Development Trust that has since been established to raise much-needed funds for the sites. Read More

Good Fundraising worked alongside the team at HART to develop a sustainable fundraising strategy and mentored the team to ensure that they had all the ingredients to ensure their fundraising success. Forward Trust

The Forward Trust are national leaders in the management of a range of drug and alcohol services in the unique prison environment. Their support includes providing advice, health and wellbeing, motivational work, clinical services and a wide range of group work programmes including family support. A national organisation with services located in almost all regions of England, Forward supports more than 20,000 clients a year offering 70 separate service delivery projects. Their new Head of Fundraising came to us for support with trust pipeline work at a time when they were recruiting to expand their team. Good Fundraising undertook research of their existing trust pipeline prospects across five different service areas, adding value to their inhouse work and identifying further prospects to approach. In a contract spanning 24 days over a few months, Good Fundraising prepared 42 applications which Forward Trust were able to submit, or we did on their behalf. Read More

Denby Grange

Denby Grange CAC is a local sports club based in Overton, Wakefield. Good Fundraising was approached to help secure the funding necessary to extend and refurbish the clubhouse and to make it more suitable for wider community use. We developed a plan based on applications to trusts and foundations and landfill tax funders and were delighted when all funds were successfully raised and the building opened in the summer of 2024. Community Transport Association (CTA), is a national membership body with members from across all four nations. Good Fundraising provide governance support and a clerking service ensuring the smooth operation of the Board of Trustees. We organise Trustee and Sub-committee meetings, help with Trustee recruitment and support the AGM. Autism Plus

Autism Plus adds value to lives through specialised care and support or adults and young people with autism, neurodiverse conditions, learning disabilities and mental health conditions. The charity runs social enterprises, supported living options, provides training services, employment support and work experience opportunities. Autism Plus empowers neurodiverse adults and young people with disabilities to lead independent lives with choice at the heart of everything they do. Offering adults and young people a choice in where to live, who to live with (or not), the chance to work or learn new skills, support to develop relationships and friendships, and live fulfilling and rewarding lives. Good Fundraising carried out a fundraising review and feasibility study for Autism Plus for the potential £5 million pound development work of their Park House Barns site. The study provided Autism Plus with a targeted look at the funding landscape, consulted with all stakeholders, provided a list of funding prospects, showed the gifting pyramid for different levels of investment and highlighted risks.
