Championing Health and Wellbeing Through Fundraising

By Good Fundraising

At Good Fundraising, we understand that while fundraising is deeply fulfilling, it can also be demanding. That’s why we place a strong emphasis on health and wellbeing – not only as individuals, but as a team. We believe that to do good work, we must first take care of ourselves.

This April we’re proud to be participating in The Yorkshire Broker Walk, Run, Ride Challenge in support of The Prince of Wales Hospice. Three members of our team are taking part, committing to walk either 75 or 100 miles throughout the month. All entry fees have gone directly to the Hospice, helping them continue their outstanding work providing care, comfort, and support to those who need it most.

This challenge reflects a broader commitment we hold at Good Fundraising: making space for wellbeing alongside our professional goals. For us, that means taking time to rest, stepping away from our desks, and reconnecting with nature. Whether it’s a short midday walk with our team’s Heads of Wellbeing, Scruff and Bex, or spending time in the local community enjoying the arrival of spring, we see these moments not as breaks from work, but as essential to doing our work well.

Prioritising wellbeing allows us to bring our best selves to the causes we support. By fostering a culture that values balance, connection, and care, we’re able to approach fundraising not only with energy and commitment, but with sustainability.

We’re proud to be taking part in this challenge and supporting such a meaningful cause – and we encourage others in the sector and beyond to consider how wellbeing can be better integrated into their own practices.
