The Prince of Wales Hospice, established in 1989, specialist care for people with life-limiting illness and their families in the Five Towns area of Wakefield District Located in a modern facility in Pontefract, the hospice offers comprehensive support addressing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual challenges. Serving over 2,000 residents each year, it provides round-the-clock care, day visits, and specialised clinics for conditions like lymphedema. The hospice also extends its support to caregivers and families, recognising their essential role. Additionally, with ten charity shops across the region, the community can find quality items while supporting the hospice’s vital services.

Good Fundraising has worked with the hospice on several occasions, providing training for both the fundraising team and the wider staff team. We have provided training relating to Project Management, Managing Difficult Conversation and Chairing Meetings. It has been great to work with the passionate and dedicated teams at the Prince of Wales Hospice, providing advice and support that helps them deliver such vital services for the people of Wakefield.
