Leeds Museums and Galleries
Leeds Museums and Galleries is a diverse family of heritage sites, including museums, country house estates, and a flagship art gallery. It is the largest local authority–run museum service in England and home to one of the UK’s most significant multidisciplinary collections. Dedicated to collecting, preserving, and interpreting historic, cultural, and scientific artefacts, the service educates, inspires, and engages audiences from Leeds and beyond through high-quality visitor experiences and unique learning environments.
Good Fundraising was commissioned to undertake a comprehensive fundraising review, assessing income-generation potential across individual sites as well as the museum service as a whole. Our review provided clear, strategic recommendations and directly influenced the decision to establish a Development Trust, now in place to secure vital funding and support the long-term sustainability of Leeds Museums and Galleries. In addition, we delivered our “Everyone’s a Fundraiser” training to their Front of House teams and across the whole service at a recent strategy day.
